Roles are matched to what the tour needs as ticket sales grow, so we cannot promise everyone their first choice, and signing up early does not lock in a role. Some volunteers will serve as on-call backups, which is the tour's insurance policy. Every volunteer who serves a shift receives the same thank-you refund on their tour ticket, whatever the role. Volunteers enter Alabama Square, the homes, and the grounds at their own risk. Historic homes have uneven floors, stairs, narrow passages, and other original features. Please watch your step and follow all posted signs and docent guidance. Signing up to volunteer constitutes acceptance of all tour terms, including a release of liability for the North Hill Preservation Association, the City of Pensacola, and participating homeowners and volunteers.
