Step inside a century of stories
From an 1899 Queen Anne to a 1953 modern masterwork, no two of these homes are alike. Their doors open for one golden afternoon at the start of the holiday season, and you are the invited guest.

Begin your holiday season in North Hill
Full admission to the tour is $50. Reserve your tickets before the end of August and pay just $30, a savings of $20 on every ticket. Every ticket supports the North Hill Preservation Association's year-round work.

Before you visit
A guest's guide to tour day
Six families are opening their homes to welcome you. These simple courtesies keep the afternoon gracious for everyone and worthy of that invitation. Purchasing a ticket confirms you have read and agree to the tour terms below.
Tickets and Admission
- Admission is for adults 18 and older only. Please bring a valid photo ID.
- All sales are final and the tour takes place rain or shine.
Arrival and Facilities
- Check in at any of seven locations: Alabama Square or the front porch of any of the six homes. Bring your ticket, printed or on your phone, along with a valid photo ID. Your ticket will be scanned, and you will receive a tour card and map. You may tour the homes in any order.
- Do not lose your tour card. It is the only way to enter each home, so keep it with you and present it at every door.
- Restrooms are available at Alabama Square. Restrooms inside the homes are closed to the public.
Accessibility
- Most of the homes are not wheelchair accessible. These are historic houses, and most have many steps to reach the entrance. Please come prepared for stairs and tight interior spaces.
- Our volunteers are unable to provide physical or mobility assistance. Questions about accessibility? Contact us in advance at president@historicnorthhill.com.
Inside the Homes
- To protect the historic floors, please wear the shoe covers provided. Flat, soft-soled shoes are recommended.
- Appropriate attire is required, out of respect for the homeowners opening their homes. Shirts and shoes are required, and swimwear is not permitted.
- Please do not touch furnishings, décor, or personal belongings.
- Some rooms and areas of the homes are closed to visitors. Please respect all posted signs.
- Once you have viewed a home, re-admittance to that home is not permitted.
Not Permitted on the Tour
- High heels
- Photography
- Weapons of any kind
- Food and drink
- Smoking and vaping
- Large bags and backpacks
Service Animals and Pets
- Pets and emotional support animals are not permitted. Trained service animals as defined by the ADA are welcome; if you plan to bring one, please contact us in advance at president@historicnorthhill.com so we can prepare for your visit.
Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability
- Guests enter Alabama Square, the homes and grounds at their own risk. Historic homes have uneven floors, stairs, narrow passages, and other original features. Please watch your step and follow all posted signs and docent guidance. The purchase of a ticket constitutes acceptance of all tour terms, including a release of liability for NHPA, the City of Pensacola and participating homeowners and volunteers.

It takes a lot of volunteers to run the Tour of Homes, and there is a place for you to lend a hand. Volunteers greet guests at the door, share each home's story, and help create an unforgettable experience for everyone visiting North Hill on Tour Day.
We have planned short shifts on purpose, because plenty of helpers makes the work lighter for everyone and no volunteer should have to miss the tour. As our thank you, volunteers receive a refund on their tour ticket after the event for each shift they serve. Members receive the full ticket price back, and volunteers who are not yet members receive half.
