Members-only Founders’ Day Dinner and Annual Meeting
Our biggest event during the year, the NHPA members-only Founders’ Day Dinner and Annual Meeting, is being held this year at the Pensacola Country Club. The evening consists of a cash bar, a three-course dinner, a brief speaker presentation, the NHPA business meeting and board election, and the annual Joyce Turner and Edwin Hacker awards presentation. Past speakers have included beloved local historians John Appleyard and Norm Haines, long-time North Hill resident Bill Turner, local architect Carter Quina, and local President Emeritus and Professor of Anthropology/Archaeology at UWF Dr. Judith Bense. This year, we are honored to have UWF Archaeology Institute’s Assistant Director, Nicole Grinnan, as our guest speaker.
This event-filled night brings home the reasons we exist as an association — community, fellowship, and a love of North Hill’s history and a desire to preserve that history for generations to come. This year’s Annual Meeting will be held in the Bayview Room of the Pensacola Country Club. The timeline is as follows:
5:45 pm guest arrival
6:00 pm cocktails
6:30 pm guests seated
9:00 pm program concludes
Dinner/ticket prices are $55 a plate; additional menu information can be found on the ticket purchase link below. Adult members and their guests are welcome. Space is limited, and ticket purchases must be made by 1 June. Smart Casual attire is appropriate.
Note: This year, our tickets are available for purchase online through our Zeffy account. If you cannot purchase tickets online, please contact the treasurer at treasurer@historicnorthhill.com for assistance. To ensure your reservation, please do not send any type of payment other than through our Zeffy unless validated by the treasurer beforehand.
